Nestled at the scenic southern end of Werri Beach in South Coast NSW, Gerringong Surf Club is a vibrant Surf Life Saving Club with a rich history dating back to 1976. Renowned for its dedication to beach safety, the club’s volunteers patrol Werri Beach and nearby Seven Mile Beach from September to April, collectively contributing over 10,000 hours each season to prevent beach-related incidents. 

The club proudly emphasizes youth engagement through its active Nippers program, teaching children aged 6 to 13 vital surf safety and rescue skills. Members enjoy diverse opportunities for personal development, including obtaining Bronze Medallions and participating in advanced surf rescue training. Gerringong Surf Club also boasts a dynamic social atmosphere, hosting regular events and fun activities for members and the local community, making it a hub for conviviality with stunning coastal views. Annually, the club semi-hosts the Captain Christie Ocean Swim, a prestigious competition that attracts elite swimmers, further cementing its status as a cornerstone of the local beach culture.
