## Description

GIANT is a Broadway play that explores the true scandal surrounding children’s author Roald Dahl and its impact on his legacy. Following an acclaimed West End run and recognition with three Olivier Awards, the production transferred to New York, where Tony, Golden Globe, and Olivier Award-winning actor John Lithgow portrayed Dahl in a performance described as career-defining. Written by Mark Rosenblatt, directed by Nicholas Hytner, and designed by Bob Crowley, the play presents a story of controversy, confrontation, and the possibility of making amends. Its dramatic premise centers on a world-famous author under threat and a battle of wills in the wake of scandal. GIANT was staged at the Music Box Theatre, 239 West 45th Street in New York City, and played its final Broadway performance on June 28. The production’s website also featured a trailer, cast and creative information, merchandise, and an option to sign up for updates. The Daily Mail praised the show, calling it “all that theatre should be.”.
