## Description

The Groupement Intercommunal pour l’Animation Parascolaire (GIAP) provides after-school care for children in Geneva. Operating on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, it welcomes children at lunchtime and in the afternoon after school. Across 146 locations, the organisation serves around 30,000 children with the support of 2,650 employees. Its professional care combines supervision with playful, creative and sporting activities, and local teams also organise experiences such as cooking workshops and outings.

GIAP helps families manage their child’s paraschool care through its online portal, my.giap.ch. Parents can use the service to register a child, report an absence or exceptional attendance, review subscription costs and request a discount. The organisation also provides a cost simulator, information about conditions and required forms, and guidance through tutorials and frequently asked questions. Families can search for a care location, contact the central service or reach a specific location. GIAP also shares news about its activities and provides information about its governance, services and employment opportunities.
