## Description

Gigrin Farm is a family-owned upland sheep farm spanning approximately 160 acres, located at an elevation of 700 to 1200 feet, offering stunning views of the Wye and Elan valleys. Established as the Official Red Kite Feeding Station in 1992/93, Gigrin responds to a request from the RSPB to help preserve the red kite population in the area. Initially hosting around six kites, the farm now attracts up to 600 birds daily during winter, making it a renowned wildlife destination.

Beyond red kite feeding, Gigrin Farm provides photographic hides for professional and amateur photographers, offering exceptional opportunities to capture the beauty of these magnificent birds and the surrounding landscape. The farm also features two aviaries dedicated to the rehabilitation of injured or sick red kites.

Visitors to Gigrin can enjoy guided tours, educational experiences for schools and groups, and access to facilities crafted for disabled guests. The farm’s mission combines conservation with community engagement, inviting everyone to appreciate the beauty of nature.
