## Description

Girlguiding Essex West is part of Girlguiding Anglia Region, supporting girls and volunteers across ten divisions in an area stretching from the Thames in the south to the Cambridge border in the north. It offers girls a welcoming place to belong, make friends, have fun and take part in adventures that build confidence and help them explore the world around them. Girls can join through the national Girlguiding registration process, while parents and carers are also welcome to volunteer in ways that suit their time and experience.

The county supports local guiding through its volunteer teams, division commissioners, advisers and group chairs, and provides resources for members and leaders. Opportunities and services include badge orders, challenge badges, county merchandise, holiday homes and campsites, and information about awards such as the Queen’s Guide Award, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and the Jack Petchey Award Scheme. Members can also access peer education, inclusion grants and financial support.
