Girls Action Foundation is a Canadian brand that has been making a difference for girls and young women since 1995. Founded by three young women with an entrepreneurial spirit, Girls Action started as a start-up with no funding or limitations. Their first initiative, POWER Camp, focused on empowering underprivileged girls to discover their own power and create positive change in their lives and communities.

The success of Girls Action was rooted in their commitment to really listening to girls and building trust with them. Over the years, Girls Action has grown exponentially, with a network of over 300 members in every province and territory in Canada. They have become a catalyst for change, seeding and training over 100 start-up girls' programs.

Today, Girls Action works in partnership with local organizations to build the skills and confidence of girls across the country, including those from inner city, remote, and Northern communities. Girls Action's programs focus on tackling the most relevant and important issues concerning girls and young women. They support the development of leadership skills, facilitate access to resources and mentors, and encourage the understanding and breaking down of barriers, such as poverty, racism, and violence.

Their work is guided by the belief that girls have an innate ability to be change-makers, and they strive to provide them with the support and space to be seen and heard. Girls Action is grateful for the support of their many funders and supporters, including companies, foundations, individuals, and agencies that believe in the power of girls' empowerment. They also have a dedicated Board of Directors who oversee their initiatives and ensure the organization's continued success.
