## Description

Girls Who Fight provides self-defense training for women, teens, and girls in Highland Village, Texas, with programs designed to build practical skills, awareness, and lasting confidence. Its girls’ program serves ages 6–14, combining real-world self-defense with opportunities to develop strength, leadership, and character. The women’s and teen program is for ages 14 and up and offers supportive, women-only training in practical techniques and personal safety. Seasonal options include a five-day summer camp for girls ages 6–16 and a college-ready camp for young women ages 15–24, focused on self-defense, street smarts, and navigating life safely. Girls Who Fight also offers courses, seminars, private workshops, and a free introductory class. Training covers techniques informed by mixed martial arts, recognizing warning signs, setting boundaries, and responding confidently before a situation becomes physical. The organization was founded by Gemma Sheehan, a Jiu-Jitsu black belt, former MMA champion, and coach with more than 16 years of experience.
