## Description

GIY, founded in 2008, is a transformative non-profit social enterprise dedicated to inspiring individuals globally to lead healthier, happier, and more sustainable lives through food growing. Based in Waterford, Ireland, GIY engages communities in Ireland, the UK, and the USA, aiming to foster a global movement of food growers. Their mission is rooted in rebuilding a sustainable food system, with a goal to inspire 100 million people to grow, cook, and eat their own food by 2030.

Through engaging programs such as GROW at School and GIY Neighbourhoods, they provide resources and education to help people cultivate their own produce. The flagship GROW HQ serves as both a hub for their campaigns and an innovative cookery school and urban farm. GIY also produces multimedia content like their acclaimed series "Grow, Cook, Eat" and various online courses. Overall, GIY encompasses a holistic approach to food sustainability, encouraging healthier choices and fostering environmental stewardship.
