## Description

The International Independent Literary Prize "Glagolica" is a prestigious literary competition aimed at young authors aged 10 to 17. Founded to inspire and nurture budding talents, this award provides an invaluable opportunity for participants to engage with established writers, enhance their literary skills, and promote proficiency in the Russian and Tatar languages. Finalists have the unique chance to attend a literary retreat in Kazan, where they can take part in workshops led by recognized authors, culminating in the chance to win the coveted Crystal Owl statuette.

Under the auspices of the Russian Federation Commission for UNESCO since 2023, Glagolica encourages creativity across a variety of genres including poetry, prose, essays, and playwriting. The prize fosters a supportive environment where young writers can publish their works in an annual almanac and receive mentorship from jury members comprised of acclaimed literary figures. With no entry fees, Glagolica stands as a cornerstone for young literary expression, ambition, and cultural development.
