## Description

The Glamorgan Family History Society (GFHS) serves as a vital hub for individuals interested in genealogy and family history, particularly in Glamorgan, Wales. Established in 1974, the Society provides a wealth of resources, including extensive indexes of baptisms, marriages, and burials, aiding members in tracing their ancestry. GFHS is committed to preserving local history and offers members access to a range of publications, quarterly journals, and unique research tools such as the Aberkenfig Resource Centre (ARC).

At the ARC, visitors can explore a diverse collection that includes parish registers, monumental inscriptions, and historical maps, enhancing the research experience for family historians. In addition, monthly meetings and special events featuring guest speakers provide members with opportunities to connect and share insights.

Whether you are a novice or an experienced genealogist, GFHS welcomes all those eager to dive into their family history, fostering a supportive community dedicated to uncovering the past through collective efforts and rich archival resources.
