## Description

Glass Adornments is a jewelry brand specializing in handmade glass bead pieces inspired by Ghanaian trade bead traditions. Its beads come from the Krobo region of Ghana, where artisans make them from recycled glass using techniques described as centuries old. The company maintains relationships with bead-making families and hand-selects beads during visits to Ghana.

Founded by Jerrell Baker after discovering Krobo beads in Accra in 2005, Glass Adornments began selling his designs in 2012. Each piece is designed and handmade in Maryland by Baker and his partner, Sundiata Osage, and the brand says its designs are not mass-produced. Its collections include Ghanaian bracelets from Accra, Krobo, Kumasi, and Asantehene, with distinctive styles such as handmade cobra clasps. The range also features brass medallions, earrings and bag adornments, bracelets, bag charms, and key chains. Glass Adornments presents its jewelry as meaningful, wearable pieces that celebrate Ghanaian craft and heritage, and offers options for gifts and everyday wear.
