## Description

The Gloucestershire Ladies’ County Golf Association promotes and develops golf for women and girls throughout Gloucestershire, welcoming players of all ages and abilities. With 38 affiliated clubs, the association has a long history of supporting participation and celebrating achievement in the sport. It organises individual and team competitions at clubs across the county, giving members opportunities to enjoy sociable and competitive golf on a range of courses. Its programme includes county team events, club competitions, seniors’ activities, veterans’ fixtures and a thriving girls’ section, alongside coaching and stableford events. The association also shares competition results, news, fixtures, entry information and resources for players and affiliated clubs. Its county team has achieved notable success, winning the England Golf County Finals in 2016, 2018 and 2019 after becoming South West regional champions. The organisation encourages members to volunteer and contribute to its work, and provides information about vacancies, funding and bursaries. Its website connects golfers with local and regional golf organisations, including England Golf and the South West women’s golf network.
