## Description

Established in 1897, Glen View Club is a historic club set across 200 acres of rolling terrain in the Village of Golf, Illinois, about 15 miles from downtown Chicago. The club is home to one of the Chicago area’s oldest golf courses and one of the country’s earliest 18-hole layouts. Designed by William Flynn, the course follows hills that slope gently toward a picturesque river, with views from a century-old Scottish Tudor clubhouse. The grounds and buildings reflect the club’s heritage and its early association with prominent architects and designers Daniel Burnham, William Holabird, and O.C. Simonds. Glen View has hosted major sporting events, including the 1902 U.S. Amateur, the 1904 U.S. Open, five Western Opens, and three National Platform Tennis Championships. Its offerings include golf and a golf pro shop, as well as a caddie program. Glen View Club is located at 100 Golf Road in Golf, Illinois, and also lists a foundation and employment opportunities.
