## Description

The Global Institute for Disease Elimination (GLIDE) is an organization working to accelerate progress toward a world free from infectious diseases of poverty. Its mission is to advance global thinking and support the elimination of diseases, including malaria, polio, lymphatic filariasis, and onchocerciasis. GLIDE connects disease-elimination efforts at global, regional, and national levels with broader public health priorities.

GLIDE’s work spans advocacy, capacity strengthening, and operational research. Through advocacy, it raises awareness and encourages engagement with its priority diseases. In partnership with country teams and ministries of health, it provides technical advice and capacity-building initiatives, promoting collaboration across diseases, borders, and sectors. Its research efforts identify gaps, improve the use of knowledge, and support innovation to help speed progress.

The institute also offers learning opportunities for public health professionals and leaders. These include AI for All, an introductory online program developed with Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, and GLIDE-LEAH, a residential leadership program focused on AI for health.
