Global Biotech Revolution (GBR) is a youth-led nonprofit organisation dedicated to inspiring and developing the next generation of leaders in biotechnology and healthcare. Founded in 2012 by two PhD students at the University of Cambridge, it is run by volunteers committed to helping young people shape the future of the industry. GBR connects emerging talent with the education, management, and recruitment needs of the biotech sector, fostering a collaborative community of bio-leaders.

Its flagship programmes include GapSummit, first held in 2014, and Excellerator, launched in 2023. These events bring together competitively selected young leaders from around the world with experienced figures from industry, entrepreneurship, policy, and research. Its Ambassador network helps extend this work across regions.
