Global Community Charter School (GCCS) is a renowned educational institution serving the Harlem and surrounding community. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, GCCS is authorized to provide the prestigious Primary Years Program (PYP) to our students. In addition to academic subjects, our students receive instruction in dance, music, science, Spanish, media and visual arts, all integrated seamlessly into their curriculum.

Currently, GCCS serves over 500 students from various backgrounds. We welcome students from Harlem, Washington Heights, and the Bronx. Our school is proud to have a student body that is 28% African-American, 67% Latino, and 5% of mixed ethnicity.

We also have a strong support system for students with special needs, including those with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and English Language Learners (ELLs). Our dedicated team of educators ensures that every student receives the support they need for success. Since our founding in September 2012, GCCS has continuously worked towards providing an exciting and enriching school experience for all students.

We have expanded our facilities and offerings over the years, with our recent milestone being the opening of our middle school facility in August 2021.
