Their mission is to create equitable, sustainable, and culturally responsive solutions to challenges in health, economic development, and the environment. GLI firmly believes in listening and thinking before taking action, aiming to impact positive change in communities globally.

One of their key offerings is immersive experiences in East Africa, where nearly 300 students and community leaders join GLI each year. These experiences focus on education and job creation, allowing participants to learn from and engage with the local communities. GLI emphasizes the importance of building partnerships with the people of East Africa, fostering rich dialogues with business leaders, government officials, artists, educators, and community members.

In addition, GLI organizes various programs and projects, including an annual celebration and farewell event, sponsorship opportunities, HIV testing initiatives, and immersion trips. They also host a Music Festival and Women's Leadership Retreat.
