## Description

Global Perm NW is a global health organization focused on expanding access to quality healthcare for underserved communities. Guided by the belief that everyone deserves a healthy life, regardless of birthplace or income, it supports health initiatives across borders and within the United States. Its approach emphasizes long-term capacity building through teaching, professional training, and program development, aiming to strengthen local healthcare systems beyond the period of volunteer involvement.

The organization partners with community leaders, who identify local needs and set priorities. Global Perm NW provides skilled healthcare professionals with support and guidance to volunteer in teaching, training, and other health-supporting activities. Its work includes projects addressing maternal and women’s health in Ethiopia, physician training and acute and emergency care in Rwanda, and skin care for unhoused people in the United States. These initiatives respond to challenges such as limited access to skilled birth support, shortages of healthcare trainers, and barriers to treatment for skin injuries.
