The Global Alliance for Tax Justice (GATJ) is a leading South-led global coalition in the tax justice movement. Our mission is to advocate for a world where progressive and redistributive tax policies counteract inequalities within and between countries, while also generating the necessary public funding to ensure essential services and protect human rights. As a coalition, GATJ comprises regional tax justice networks in Asia, Africa, Latin America, Europe, and North America, collectively representing hundreds of organizations. We work collaboratively to promote tax justice through various campaigns, events, and actions. Our latest news highlights our ongoing efforts towards achieving a just global tax order, including participation in the Latin America's 1st Summit for an Inclusive Global Tax Order and the urgent need for a new fiscal pact in Latin America and the Caribbean. We also emphasize the importance of feminist perspectives in addressing economic struggles and the role of our Tax and Gender Working Group in fostering discussions on shifting dynamics.
