## Description

Glowflare is a short film festival celebrating bold, original storytelling and the independent filmmaking community. Held at Parkway Cinemas, an independent cinema in Beverley, Yorkshire, the festival presents films across a range of genres, including thought-provoking dramas, animation, documentaries and comedies. Its inclusive approach welcomes filmmakers at every stage, from experienced professionals to students and first-time creators, offering a platform to share their work with audiences.

The festival programme includes film screenings, filmmaker Q&As, live activities and audience voting, with awards recognising selected films. Visitors can choose individual screening-session tickets or a day pass covering standard screenings for a selected festival day; the pass also includes an A5 programme. Glowflare provides practical visitor information, including ticketing, travel guidance and a local guide, alongside news, interviews, reviews and festival updates. Filmmakers can submit films through FilmFreeway, subject to the festival’s submission categories and eligibility rules. Glowflare’s website also offers a festival portal for access to schedules, films and updates. The next festival is listed for 4–5 September 2027.
