## Description

GlyGen is a data integration and dissemination project providing computational and informatics resources for glyc science. It gathers carbohydrate- and glycoconjugate-related information from multiple international sources, then integrates and harmonizes the data in a portal designed to support exploration and searches that may not be possible within any single contributing database. The resource serves researchers and others working with glycans, proteins, diseases, and related biomarkers.

GlyGen offers search tools for glycan structures and compositions, proteins, diseases, biomarkers, and protein sites, alongside a graphical Super Search for queries across its datasets. Additional tools include protein BLAST, glycan structure browsing, motif information, batch retrieval and annotation, isoform mapping, and mapping identifiers for glycans and proteins. Users can also explore glycan structures and biosynthesis in the GlyGen Sandbox and consult a standardized Glycan Structure Dictionary.

Data can be accessed and downloaded in formats such as CSV and RDF. GlyGen also provides a public API that returns requested data in JSON and a SPARQL endpoint for its RDF datasets.
