# Goethe-Gesellschaft Kiel - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `goethe-gesellschaft-kiel.de` ## Description The Goethe-Gesellschaft Kiel e.V. is a nonprofit local branch of the Goethe Society in Weimar, founded in Kiel in 1947. It promotes understanding of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe’s life and work, shares current developments in Goethe research, and explores literature, art, and the humanities across historical and contemporary contexts. Its program includes lectures, readings, discussion groups, and other cultural events, with activities for both members and the wider public. Recent offerings have covered writers such as Georg Büchner and Siegfried Lenz, while reading circles and lectures invite participants to engage closely with Goethe’s works. The society also supports educational outreach, including projects and creative competitions for school students, and makes lectures and related materials available online. Publications are another part of its work: the organization produces annual gifts and literary studies, shares book recommendations, and presents Goethe-inspired artwork, including illustrations and a virtual gallery. Visitors can explore information about Goethe’s biography, the society’s history, events, and membership, or subscribe to its newsletter for updates. ## Industries - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Literature _(under Science and Education)_ - 🍿 Arts and Entertainment ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idDIJJc5p0/w/543/h/416/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1791365627776) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Snuff | #dad0ec | accent | | Outer Space | #2d3940 | dark | | White | #ffffff | light | ## Fonts - serif — asset _(custom)_ - serif — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
