## Description

Gokstop is an initiative of the Kansspelautoriteit (Ksa), the independent administrator of the Central Register for Exclusion from Games of Chance, known as Cruks. It helps people who feel they have lost control of their gambling take a break and regain a sense of direction in their lives. Through Gokstop, users can safely, easily and free of charge exclude themselves from gambling at online casinos and gaming halls. Registration is arranged in a few steps through the Cruks register, and exclusion means no further access to gambling venues and services covered by the scheme. The website encourages visitors to make a fresh start and emphasizes that they are not alone, noting that more than 122,000 people have already taken a gambling break. It also provides informational videos and a personal recovery story from Dave van der Schaaf, who discusses his gambling addiction and how Gokstop supports his recovery. Gokstop shares information and updates through LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook, and directs visitors to the Kansspelautoriteit for contact and further details.
