## Description

Golden Ventures is a leading seed-stage venture capital fund based in Toronto, with a focus on investing across North America. As a trusted advisor and former founders ourselves, we understand the challenges of building a company and provide hands-on support to the bold teams we back. Our portfolio showcases transformative ideas from diverse sectors. One such investment is Applyboard, led by Co-Founder & CEO Martin Basiri. Applyboard connects universities with talented applicants worldwide, bringing transparency to the college application process. Their innovative approach has resulted in over 150,000 successful applications and is revolutionizing how students apply for higher education. Another standout investment is Properly, headed by Co-Founder & CEO Anshul. Their platform helps homeowners seamlessly buy and sell their homes. By offering a guaranteed price and reducing stress and inconvenience, Properly is transforming the real estate market. We also believe in sustainable solutions like Erthos, founded by Kritika, Chang & Nuha. Erthos creates plant-powered alternatives to traditional plastics, providing compostable and eco-friendly options. Their dedication to organic materials convinced us to invest in their plant-based plastic revolution. These are just a few examples of the exceptional companies in our portfolio. With over 70 investments since 2011, we are experts in the seed stage and committed to supporting innovations that shape the future.
