## Description

Golowan Festival CIC is a vibrant community organization dedicated to celebrating the unique culture of Penzance and Cornwall through its annual Golowan Festival, which has been a cherished local event since its inception. Established in 2016 after a decision by the Penzance Council, the organization commits to providing a rich array of activities that highlight local traditions, artists, and performers.

Under the leadership of experienced individuals like Festival Director Alan Shepherd, Operations Director Martin Venning, and Community Liaison Kim Tilbrook, Golowan works tirelessly to ensure that the festival remains inclusive and engaging. The festival prominently features the joyous Mazey Day celebrations, free community events, and a diverse program that showcases various genres, appealing to attendees of all ages.

Golowan Festival has garnered recognition, including the 2016 What’s On Cornwall award for Best Family Event, reflecting its integral role in the cultural fabric of the community. With strong support from local volunteers, artists, and sponsors, Golowan continues to grow, fostering a spirit of unity and creativity in the heart of Cornwall.
