## Description

Good Family Support Services (GFSS) is a Philadelphia-area 501(c)(3) nonprofit home care agency focused on helping people remain safely and comfortably in their own homes and communities. Its person-centered approach supports clients’ independence, well-being, and active participation in their care. GFSS primarily serves Medicaid recipients through Pennsylvania’s Community HealthChoices (CHC) Home and Community-Based Services Waiver Program.

The agency provides individualized in-home care, with schedules ranging from a few hours a day to full-time support, according to each person’s needs. Caregivers are carefully screened and trained to provide compassionate assistance and help maintain clients’ safety and quality of life. GFSS also offers a Quality Management program, a Professional Care program, community outreach, and related resources for clients and families.

As a nonprofit, GFSS says it prioritizes the quality of care and the treatment, wages, and benefits of its caregivers over private-owner or shareholder profits. The agency welcomes eligible CHC participants and their caregivers who wish to transfer from another provider, and provides information about services, grants, careers, and caregiver onboarding.
