## Description

Gopherkind is a web-based service for exploring signed, navigable reading rooms built from Nostr content. It presents each “gopherhole” as a collection of signed Nostr events, allowing compatible bridges to retrieve copies from relays and serve the material through Gopher, Gemini, HTTP, or a terminal. Users can open a Nostr profile, note, or long-form article by its npub, whether or not that profile has been published, and view it as a virtual hole.

The service also works as a client for traditional Gopherspace. Visitors can enter a gopher:// address or a bare host name to browse existing Gopher sites in the same interface. Gopherkind brings together Nostr-based publishing and older Gopher browsing, making both kinds of content accessible through a shared reading experience. The site includes information about the project and its approach, as well as examples and discovery tools such as links to Floodgap and a Gopherspace world map.
