Gorilla Doctors

Gorilla Doctors is an exceptional organization committed to safeguarding wild mountain and eastern lowland gorillas through groundbreaking veterinary medicine and a holistic approach to healthcare called One Health. We work in collaboration with the Mountain Gorilla Veterinary Project and UC Davis Wildlife Health Center to protect these magnificent creatures. By monitoring and intervening when necessary, we combat diseases and traumatic injuries that can threaten their survival. In addition, we rescue and rehabilitate orphaned gorillas, ensuring their well-being and successful reintegration into their communities. Using the One Health approach, we recognize the interconnectedness of animal, human, and environmental health.
