## Description

Karate-Do Goshin is a community karate club in Arnhem, the Netherlands, founded in 1979. The association welcomes adults aged 16 and over, from beginners to experienced practitioners, and offers training at their own pace in a friendly, committed setting. Its main discipline is Shotokan karate, taught as a complete martial art rather than solely as sport or traditional forms. Classes combine kihon (basic techniques), kata (sequences) and kumite (sparring), alongside practice in strikes, kicks, blocks, throws and sweeps. Training also develops fitness, strength, flexibility, coordination, focus, discipline and confidence. Members can learn practical self-defence and resilience techniques known as Goshin-Jitsu. The club holds three weekly sessions at Gymzaal De Symfonie, including regular classes and a Sunday practice for independent training or exam preparation. It also runs beginners’ courses and offers grading opportunities. Prospective members can try training free for two weeks; GelrePas credit is accepted toward membership fees. Karate-Do Goshin is affiliated with the Karate-Do Bond Nederland.
