## Description

GoSphereX is a non-profit association based in Helsinki, Finland, working to make small and overlooked ecosystems more visible. It supports community-led ecosystem restoration in the Global South and provides environmental education in Finland, with an emphasis on traceable evidence, local leadership and transparent reporting.

Its current restoration project is a 2026 pilot at Vertiente de La Chimba Norte, a 0.42-hectare urban wetland in Antofagasta, Chile. In partnership with the local organisation Raíces Endémicas, GoSphereX funds and documents activities including cleanups, environmental education, guided visits and interpretive signs. The association also offers guided walks in Helsinki’s forests and peatlands, exploring wetlands and how they are represented in maps and data. Its documentary screenings, organised with ASOFICH, address environmental conflicts and include open discussions. Learning materials and science explainers further support public understanding.

GoSphereX invites individuals to volunteer, join its network or become members, and works with schools, associations and other organisations through walks, screenings and talks.
