This vibrant event combines cultural festivities, friendly competition, and community spirit, making Goya known as the "Capital of Friendship." Participants from various regions partake in fishing contests, including the prestigious Concurso Argentino de Pesca Variada Embarcada. The event not only highlights the fishing skills of competitors but also raises awareness about sustainable practices through initiatives like catch-and-release fishing.

Each year, the fiesta features a range of activities, including exhibitions, cultural showcases, and family-friendly events, ensuring an enjoyable experience for both participants and visitors. The organization behind the fiesta, the Comisión Municipal de Pesca (COMUPE), works closely with local authorities to enhance the infrastructure and offerings surrounding the event, creating a welcoming environment.
