## Description

General Practitioners Championing Perinatal Care (GPCPC) is a UK network of general practitioners working together to improve perinatal care in primary care. The organisation aims to support better care that can reduce healthcare inequalities, improve women’s health in the short and long term, and lessen adverse outcomes and experiences for children.

GPCPC provides information and resources primarily for practising UK GPs and other healthcare professionals. Its materials are selected by GP members from reliable perinatal healthcare information and are intended to support, not replace, clinicians’ professional judgement. Resources include guidance on perinatal mental health and maternal postnatal consultations, as well as information on medications in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

The network also shares news, hosts events and promotes relevant activities from partner organisations, including webinars for frontline health professionals. GPs can join GPCPC, take part in member events such as its annual general meeting, and access useful materials through the organisation’s website. GPCPC does not provide individual medical advice to members of the public.
