## Description

Peter Scherrer Bildhauerei is the independent stone-carving studio of sculptor Peter Scherrer, who has created memorials and worked in his own atelier since 1993. Based in Benken, in the canton of St. Gallen, the studio serves communities across the surrounding region, with occasional commissions from Zurich and eastern Switzerland. Its work is shaped by personal conversations with clients, followed by sketches, material samples and, when useful, wax or clay models. Peter Scherrer makes individual gravestones, grave slabs, family and urn memorials, inscriptions, community grave features, commemorative stones and monuments. Projects may combine stone with metal, wood, glass or bronze. The studio also offers grave surrounds, planting, garden features, sculptures and other complementary elements, as well as stonework for gardens, public spaces and buildings, including custom natural-stone fountains and art in architecture. Clients can receive a written proposal and, by arrangement, observe the work in progress. Peter Scherrer also offers guided individual remembrance experiences in the workshop or outdoors and advises municipalities on cemetery design.
