Graham Watson is a renowned and highly respected photographer specializing in cycling photography. Born in London in 1956, Graham developed a passion for photography at a young age and honed his skills at Stanley Technical High School. He later joined society photographer Lenare, where he learned the fundamentals of photography, including composition, lighting, exposure, and film processing. Graham's love for cycling stemmed from his daily rides into London. His career as a cycling photographer took off after winning a competition organized by 'Cycling Weekly' magazine during a trip to the 1977 Tour de France. Since then, Graham has captured the excitement and beauty of the sport, photographing iconic races like the Tour de France, Tour of Flanders, and Paris-Roubaix. Over the years, Graham has built an impressive client base, including magazines from around the world and top racers of the era such as Pedro Delgado, Sean Kelly, Robert Millar, Paul Sherwen, Phil Anderson, and Greg LeMond. He has also been engaged by leading teams and their sponsors to provide top-quality photography. Graham's talent and dedication have earned him the opportunity to photograph seven Olympic Games, as well as publish over 20 books on cycling, including 'Kings of the Road' and 'Visions of Cycling.'
