## Description

Grainlify is an open-source contribution platform that organizes GrainHack events and Grainlify Bounties, allocating funded work through published rules rather than a first-come queue. Contributors connect GitHub, apply during a set window, and are selected through a weighted draw. GrainHack gives first-time applicants extra weight, while follower counts and merge history do not influence selection. Its rewards are determined after an event, based on accepted work and a published curve, rather than promised per issue in advance.

Grainlify Bounties offer a fixed USDC amount on issues in Grainlify’s own repositories. An AI agent assesses applicants and reviews submitted pull requests, while a person makes merge decisions and approves every payout. The selection draw is replayable, and the agent’s inference spending is publicly recorded with a stated lifetime cap. Bounty payments are made on Solana mainnet. GrainHack has run an event on Base Sepolia testnet, where two contributors received 4 USDC each; no GrainHack mainnet payout has been made. Aptos claims are built and tested but are not live.
