## Description

Graminor AS develops new plant varieties for agriculture and horticulture in Norway and the Nordic region. Its work in plant breeding supports farmers and the wider food and horticultural industries by creating varieties suited to local growing conditions and market needs. Graminor’s range covers cereals, potatoes, forage crops, fruit and berries, and its online variety selector helps users explore Norwegian varieties available on the market.

The company also advances variety development through research, trials and development projects. Its activities include testing promising candidates, exploring new breeding methods and technologies, and working with partners across the agricultural sector. Graminor’s news highlights the people, research and events behind this work, including field days that bring together growers, industry representatives and other stakeholders. The company also develops fruit varieties with potential beyond Norway; the pear variety Celina is cited as an example of a Norwegian-bred success in international markets. Based in Norway, Graminor operates at Bjørke farm in Ridabu and has a department at Njøs in Leikanger.
