## Description

Grant County Friends of the Animal Shelter is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2002 to help find homes for animals at the Grant County Animal Shelter and support homeless animals in Grant County, Kentucky. The organization works alongside the shelter to improve animal welfare through donations, volunteer efforts, and community programs. It accepts contributions on behalf of the shelter and local homeless animals, with virtually all donated funds used to directly benefit them.

Its work includes helping provide emergency veterinary care for homeless cats and dogs, supporting facility and program improvements, and coordinating Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, and Return (TNVR) initiatives. Donations have also helped create an outdoor play area where shelter cats can climb, enjoy fresh air, and socialize. The group promotes adoption events and welcomes volunteers who can contribute their time as well as supporters who can donate. Through shelter stories, events, and outreach, Grant County Friends of the Animal Shelter connects the community with animals in need and encourages people to help create safer, happier lives for them.
