## Description

Gravinae Nativitas APS is a cultural association behind “Gravinae Nativitas – Antichi mestieri in presepe,” a live Nativity event in Gravina in Puglia, Italy. The event transforms the historic Rione Fondovito and the area around the rupestrian church of San Michele delle Grotte into a depiction of ancient Bethlehem. Actors portray Biblical characters and scenes surrounding the birth of Jesus, while traditional crafts and historic trades help bring the setting to life. The initiative celebrates Christmas, local heritage, and the traditions of the Murgia area.

The 2025–26 edition is scheduled for December 6–7, 2025, and January 4–5, 2026. The association’s website offers event information, schedules, galleries from previous editions, news, and press coverage, along with advance reservations for skip-the-line entry. For the upcoming edition, food and artisan market exhibitors can apply for stands near the Nativity route by completing a participation form and following the published regulations. The project is promoted by Gravina’s municipal administration in collaboration with regional, diocesan, and local organizations.
