## Description

Graz Museum is the City of Graz’s cultural history museum, exploring the city’s past, present and development through collections, exhibitions and public programmes. Its work connects local history with contemporary urban life, inviting visitors to consider how Graz has changed and how its communities shape the city today. The museum presents exhibitions on subjects ranging from democracy, women in science and the 1970s to archaeology, remembrance and the history of individual neighbourhoods. Visitors can also join guided tours, workshops, talks, poetry events, conferences and activities for young people. Research, the museum collection and the City of Graz’s archaeological work are among its areas of focus, alongside efforts to encourage participation and open public discussion. The Graz Museum operates locations including Graz Museum Sackstraße and Graz Museum Schlossberg, and collaborates with other cultural and educational venues across the city. It is open daily, offers free admission to visitors up to age 19, and uses a pay-as-you-wish model for visitors aged 19 to 26.
