## Description

The Great Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (GBNERR) is a New Hampshire public resource dedicated to understanding and protecting the lands and waters of the Great Bay watershed. Working with federal, state, and local partners, including NOAA, New Hampshire Fish and Game, and the Great Bay Stewards, the Reserve provides place-based science, monitoring, data, education, workshops, and technical assistance for communities and visitors.

GBNERR protects more than 10,000 acres of public lands and open water, offering opportunities for hiking, birding, wildlife watching, hunting, fishing, and boating across forests, marshes, fields, and mudflats. Visitors can explore sites such as the Great Bay Discovery Campus, Glenn Cove Wildlife Education Area, Crommet Creek, and the Community Wildlife Garden. The seasonal Discovery Center exhibit room, online osprey cam, and public programs help connect people with the region’s natural environment. The Reserve also supports teachers, students, researchers, and volunteers through educational resources, research opportunities, and ways to contribute to conservation.
