## Description

Greater Pittston Regional Ambulance (GPRA), also known as Medic 29, is a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing emergency medical services across eastern Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. It serves as the primary emergency medical services provider for Pittston City and several surrounding boroughs and townships, covering an area of approximately 85 square miles. GPRA responds to more than 7,500 calls each year and delivers both basic and advanced life support. Its paramedic team also provides advanced life support intercept services to nearby communities’ basic life support providers.

The organization operates from stations in Pittston City and Exeter Borough, supported by a fleet of eight transport units, three EMS squad units, a support vehicle, and a special operations trailer. Its multidisciplinary operations staff brings more than 100 years of combined prehospital experience, with team members trained beyond minimum requirements and holding advanced certifications. GPRA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and supported by full-time operational leadership and administrative staff.
