## Description

Green Door is a community organisation in Stoke-on-Trent that aims to reduce loneliness and isolation by making local green spaces and outdoor activities accessible to everyone. Supported mainly by volunteers and two staff members, the organisation offers low-cost experiences for individuals, families and groups, including people with disabilities and those referred by health and rehabilitation services.

Its established accessible cycling service operates at Westport Lake six days a week for most of the year, with a wide range of cycles and equipment for different needs. Adaptations may be possible, and hire accessories include wheelchairs, trailers and specialist seating. Booking is preferred, although walk-ups are welcome. Green Door also runs accessible canoeing and kayaking, mainly during school holidays at parks across Stoke-on-Trent, with single and twin craft, including adapted boats. Other activities include archery, history walks and talks. Through its welcoming programme and dedicated volunteer team, Green Door helps more people enjoy active, social time outdoors.
