## Description

GreenNet is a not-for-profit ethical collective internet service provider (ISP) that was established in 1985. Initially created to provide a cost-effective means of communication for environmental activists, GreenNet has since evolved to cater to the needs of activist organizations and individuals working for social change. Their use of networking technology is primarily focused on supporting and promoting peace, human rights, and environmental causes.

GreenNet is distinguished by its collective organization structure, where all staff members have equal decision-making powers and responsibilities. The company is owned by the GreenNet Educational Trust, a registered charity, and any profits made are directly invested into projects aligned with their mission.

The company's services include web hosting, email, broadband, domain registration, server hosting, and cloud storage, with a specific focus on designing and hosting websites for organizations that share their mission. As a member of various digital rights and internet service associations, GreenNet has a solid track record of supporting and advocating for online privacy and freedom of speech.
