## Description

Greenock and District Model Railway Club is a community club for people interested in model railways, based in Greenock, Scotland. Founded in 1978, it has moved between several local railway-related premises and has been based at Fort Matilda Station since September 2010. The club welcomes members of different ages and experience levels, with approximately 30 members, including junior members.

Members meet in the clubrooms every Tuesday and Friday from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Activities include building model railway layouts, sharing skills and ideas, and taking part in the local model railway circuit. The club visits and exhibits layouts at other shows and hosts an annual show in October, usually at Lyle Kirk in Greenock. Its website also features information about events, layouts, a gallery, membership, and club rules. Current projects include two new layout builds, while the club has also been preparing to take its Minffordd layout to the NEC in November.
