Green River Preserve is a premier coed summer camp located on a sprawling 3400-acre property in Cedar Mountain, North Carolina. Our small and intentional program is led by a team of enthusiastic staff who are passionate about fun and creating enriching experiences for children. At Green River Preserve, we prioritize the holistic growth of campers, focusing on intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual development.

Our goal is to help every child flourish at their own pace and in their own unique way. As a nature camp, we offer a wide array of activities and environmental programs that encourage campers to connect with the natural world. From hiking and camping to environmental science and fly fishing, our activities foster lifelong learning skills and experiences.

We also have special partnerships with the Flat Rock Playhouse, DuPont State Recreational Forest, and Trout Unlimited to provide unique opportunities in theater, mountain biking, and summer camp fly fishing. In addition to our summer camp, we offer high school expedition trips that promote outdoor skills, teamwork, and leadership. With options such as backpacking, whitewater canoeing, sea kayaking, and backpacking and canoe trips, our expeditions are designed to challenge and inspire young adventurers.

At Green River Preserve, we value sustainability and have implemented various measures to protect the environment. Our farm-to-table program, partnership with Leave No Trace, and conservation easement with Carolina Mountain Land Trust are just a few examples of our commitment to sustainable leadership.
