## Description

GreenTrade is a Berlin-based climate finance company building infrastructure to fund future nature- and technology-based carbon projects. Its mission is to help mitigate climate change and support a net-zero, nature-positive future, with a stated goal of reducing 100 million tonnes of carbon by 2030. GreenTrade connects project developers with businesses seeking to decarbonize and meet net-zero commitments.

Through its platform and beta marketplace, the company offers businesses access to curated carbon projects and future credits. Pre-purchase and offtake agreements can provide developers with upfront financing to advance projects, while helping buyers plan ahead and potentially reduce costs. GreenTrade’s portfolio spans more than ten project types, including forest conservation, afforestation and reforestation, soil carbon, improved forest management, blue carbon, biochar, direct air capture, enhanced rock weathering, carbon capture and storage, and cook stoves.

The company says its projects undergo a thorough verification process, with selection focused on integrity, quality, science-based measurement, and environmental and social impact.
