## Description

Grewweheiser Kerweborsch e.V. is a local association in Weiterstadt dedicated to organizing and celebrating the community’s annual Kerb festival. Its website shares event dates, programme details, information about active Kerweborsch and Kerwemädscher, the association’s history and leadership, and details about membership. The festival brings residents and visitors together for several days of local tradition and entertainment. The planned 2027 celebration runs from 1 to 4 October, with the fairground attractions on Postplatz and a tent and stage on Kirchplatz. Activities include raising the Kerb tree, live music, a Sunday procession and the traditional Kerwered, followed by a Monday morning gathering at local pubs. Admission is free. The association also has a longstanding charitable commitment: for more than 20 years, donations collected through the Kerwered have been given to the Verein für krebskranke und chronisch kranke Kinder in Darmstadt, an organization supporting children with cancer and chronic illnesses. Grewweheiser Kerweborsch e.V. welcomes people interested in taking part and keeping the local Kerb tradition alive.
