Gold Ribbon Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Central Texas. Our main focus is to provide a network for sheltering, rehabilitating, and placing Golden Retrievers in forever homes. In addition to our rescue efforts, we also prioritize public education about responsible dog ownership, with a particular emphasis on the Golden Retriever breed.

We offer a platform for Golden Retriever enthusiasts to connect, share advice, and get involved in local dog activities. As an all-volunteer nonprofit corporation, we rely on member dues, adoption fees, fundraising activities, and donations to finance our operations. We are dedicated to inclusivity and do not discriminate based on race, religion, age, national origin, language, sex, sexual preference, or physical handicap.

All donations made to Gold Ribbon Rescue are tax deductible. If you're considering adopting a rescue dog, we have a range of friendly and wonderful Golden Retrievers available. Our rescue dogs are often housebroken and some even have obedience training.

Contrary to popular belief, older dogs are trainable, and Goldens, in particular, are eager to please at any age. We also accept dogs who have been surrendered by their owners or come from shelters and occasionally rescue dogs from puppy mills or backyard breeding operations. At Gold Ribbon Rescue, we prioritize the health and well-being of our rescued dogs.

Upon receiving a Golden Retriever, we take them to a licensed veterinarian for a thorough check-up and necessary treatment, including vaccinations, heartworm treatment or prevention, and spaying or neutering. Our volunteer foster homes provide a nurturing environment for the dogs until we find suitable adoptive families. Our adoption fee helps cover the costs of their care.

We do not purchase dogs, as we believe in responsible breeding practices and discourage the proliferation of puppy mills and backyard breeders. Instead, we focus on rescuing and rehabilitating Golden Retrievers in need. Please note that Gold Ribbon Rescue does not operate a kennel or shelter facility.
