## Description

The Geological Remote Sensing Group (GRSG) is a special interest group associated with the Geological Society of London and the Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Society. It brings together people interested in applying remote sensing to geology, including geologists, remote sensing specialists, students, and professionals working in industry, academia, and government agencies around the world. The group provides opportunities to share knowledge, research, and professional experience across these communities.

GRSG’s activities include an annual conference and events throughout the year, such as webinars, presentations, and industry-focused discussions. Members can present their work, attend conferences, network with peers, and learn about research and career opportunities. The group also shares updates through regular newsletters and publishes conference presentations and other member resources. Its website offers information about membership options for individuals, students, and corporate participants, alongside student research awards, software offers, and open-source software resources. Through these services and events, GRSG supports connections between geological and remote sensing communities and encourages the exchange of ideas relevant to Earth observation for geology.
