## Description

Gruppo Solidarietà Africa (GSA) is an Italian volunteer organization dedicated to health prevention, care, and practical support in African communities. Founded in the early 1980s, it brings together healthcare professionals—including doctors, nurses, laboratory and radiology technicians, and operating-room specialists—as well as volunteers and supporters who contribute their skills and resources. GSA’s work has addressed malnutrition, parasitic diseases, tuberculosis, malaria, and AIDS, and its projects are currently active in Ghana, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, and Mali. The organization develops initiatives in response to local needs, with an emphasis on prevention and assistance, and welcomes both specialist volunteers and people who wish to support its work through donations or other participation. GSA also organizes events, training, and awareness activities, and shares news and project updates through its Baobab newsletter and publications. Based in Seregno, Italy, the association invites the public to take part in solidarity initiatives and community events that help sustain its projects in Africa.
